Adrian Ling has spent over 30 years in the food industry. His father and founder of Plamil, Arthur Ling, turned vegan in 1927, before the term was even coined almost 20 years later. A lifelong vegan of more than 50 years, Adrian joined Plamil when it had only four employees. Over the years he has grown the company and product range from the original food canning line, to a 24-hour operation with almost 50 employees and extensive range of confectionary and condiment products which sell to retailers and manufacturers worldwide. His knowledge and experience of managing a specialist food business and new product development and having ‘nuts and bolts’ information of many production lines gives him a unique insight into vegan food standards and production.
